Homemade Seasonings

Ever wondered why when you made a homemade version of a seasoning it just didn’t do it for you. Might have made you want to run out to the store. Well most importantly you must use quality ingredients. Now I most importantly understand a budget, though if you must skimp somewhere try not to on key ingredients.
Now having said all that out of all those I’ve tried in my opinion Spice Islands is the best. Publix Grocery periodically has a sale and coupons. They also let you stack but that’s another post. This is a receipe I found a while back googling for it, sorry I don’t remember where from I believe it was http://www.allrecipes.com however don’t hold me to it.

Taco Seasoning
1tbsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 1/2 ground cumin
1 tsp. sea salt (i used kosher)
1 tsp. black pepper

If you don’t have chili powder, not to worry!

2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
